The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted for breaking into a school on the city's east side.

It happened in the early morning hours of October 3, on the 11200 block of Kercheval.

Police say the suspect broke a window to get inside the building and went rummaging through the office.

An alarm alerted school security, but the suspect managed to get away with a computer.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-5540 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.

Tips can also be passed along through the department's app at DPD Connect.
