Music superstar Eminem is selling debris from his childhood home and fans are buying in, handing over hundreds of dollars for one brick. But, how did he get them?

At the time of the demolition, the small bungalow style home on Dresden Street was owned by the Michigan Land Bank. After a fire in November, 2013, the structure was deemed unsafe and was ordered torn down.

The job was put out for bids, but at the last minute, instead of sticking tax payers with the demolition bill, William Farrow with the Farrow Group donated its services and tore down the house for free.

Farrow told 7 Action News, an offer was extended to Eminem to be a part of the demo, but the offer was ignored.

Shortly after the heavy equipment demolished the home, a representative for Eminem contacted the demolition company with an offer to purchase some of the debris.  At first, Farrow declined, but then a deal was worked out that helped cover the cost of the demolition.

Farrow says at that time, the debris form the house, including bricks, the door and the steps, was cleaned, packed up and shipped away.
