Detroit police have released a sketch of a suspect in connection to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl on the city's west side.

It happened around 7:50 a.m. Friday in the area of Burt Rd. and Davidson. We're told the suspect pulled his pickup truck into a driveway of a home and was fumbling with his keys, trying to get inside the house.

When the teen walked by, he asked her to come to the door. She refused, and then the suspect asked her if she would like to make some money. She once again said no.

That's when the suspect ran up to the victim and started grabbing her and assaulting her. She was able to get free and run to an adult who walked with her to school.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 30s, about 6-feet tall weighing 180 pounds. He has medium-dark complexion, a bushy mustache and plain dark navy baseball hat.

His vehicle is described as a white Dodge Ram, newer model with black and chrome rims.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit police at 313-596-1950.
