Hundreds of runners took to the stairs of the Renaissance Center to raise money for a good cause on Sunday.
DETROIT (WXYZ) - Thousands of participants took part in the American Lung Association's Climb For Air at the Renaissance Center Sunday morning.
Participants climbed up the building's stairs as part of a fundraising effort.
The money raised will be used to help fight several lung diseases.
Firefighters from several fire departments, including Dearborn Height,s took part in the event wearing full sets of their gear as they raced up more than 70 flights of stairs.
No word yet on exactly how much money was raised.
