Two New Yorkers, Hagan Blount & Katie Smith-Adair are taking their love of food and real estate across the country with their company "PlaceInvaders".

They find interesting homes and invite guests to buy tickets to a dinner or brunch in those unique, stunning spaces.

They work with local chefs to create an impressive five course menu, and pair wines and cocktails. Guests sit at one big communal table and get to know the strangers they're eating with.

There are usually about 20-24 people per event.

Blount & Smith-Adair travel the country with a trailer full of tables, chairs, linens, plates, glasses and host these unique events in cities all over the country.

They've "invaded" homes in about a dozen cities so far. After a visit to Detroit in October, they fell in love with the
city and decided to host a series of their pop-up dining experiences.

They have a fun twist to their pop-up experiences. Locations are kept secret until 12 hours prior to the meal. 7 Action News has learned this weekend's pop-up events will be held in an historic mansion in Detroit's Boston Edison district.

Brunch tickets are $65 and dinner tickets are $100. To purchase them, just go to this link: https://placeinvaders.co/tickets/34
