Local state lawmakers in Livingston County held a town hall for people to speak out against Judge Theresa Brennan.

The judge has been off the bench since June when the Judicial Tenure Commission issued a scathing complaint against her with allegations of misconduct and mistreatment of people in her court.

Judge Brennan faces a JTC hearing set for October that could remove her from the bench.

Retired Judge Daniel Burress has also petitioned to impanel a Citizens Grand Jury that could issue criminal charges of Perjury and Obstruction of Justice.

Judge Brennan is accused of having an affair with the lead investigator in the murder case of Jerome Kowalski.

Michigan State Police Detective Sean Furlong interrogated Kowalski as part of the case.

The trial was in front of Judge Brennan.

Jared Kowalski, Jerome’s son wants a new trial for his father who is doing life in prison without parole.
