An alleged hate crime inside a juvenile detention facility has got the attention of the FBI and local deputies.

The victim says she considers what happened at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center last October to be a hate crime.

Now she's asking for something more to be done about it.

She asked us not to reveal her identity, while telling us she recently learned of a confession to the crime by a co-worker.

But, she also says that co-worker is still an a county employee who's only been placed on administrative leave.

"I've worked in different environments and with various cultures. Never have I had an experience like that before in my life" she says.

She adds, "They said 'Hey, well we couldn't corroborate your story, but there was an unprofessional exchange made. If you have anymore questions give me a call'."

Deputies confirm an investigation remains underway, but no charges have been filed.

This evening we left a message for the director of the facility. So far, she hasn't responded.
