CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — It’s a mysterious disappearance that has police in Macomb County searching for a woman who vanished suddenly just before Christmas.

That missing woman’s husband says he’s been searching everywhere for her. Police are also looking up and down Gratiot Avenue for clues.

Casey Wilson says 34-yea- old Rebecca Woffard has never disappeared in this way before.

“I just am in such desperate need to find my wife. I haven’t slept in about a week,” says Wilson.

He says he and his wife moved to the area a year and a half ago for work.

They were hoping to put down some roots, but Rebecca was also dealing with health issues. Casey says she was last seen leaving home on foot near 16 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue on the afternoon of December 22nd.

“She was told to walk to the hospital, about 20 minutes from our home here. She wasn’t feeling well and has PTSD,” says Wilson.

But she never made it to McClaren Hospital and left her phone, ID and other belongings behind.

“She left the house with just a jogger outfit on. She didn’t take anything with her. I’ve called all around. I have a detective looking for her as well. He’s helping me out tremendously,” says Wilson.

Rebecca is 5”4, 120 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. She doesn’t have any family nearby, other than her husband.

Police are checking into leads that she may have been spotted in Detroit, or Farmington Hills. If you have any information, please call police right away.

Editor's note: Rebecca Woffard was found safe in Detroit on Jan. 2, according to Clinton Township police.
