A local musician who plays all across metro Detroit, even at churches, is without his instruments. He says someone stole his van with his drum set inside last week.

Now he's hoping they turn up.

Jarelle James has played the drums his whole life.

These days he plays at churches and with the band “313 The Live Experience” several times a week in and out of metro Detroit.

But the $3,000 drum-set he has had for more than 8 years is now gone.

He says someone stole his Dodge Durango last Thursday, while was parked right outside of his Center Line home.

Now he’s out of a ride and all of his instruments.

On this day, this musician says it’s not just about the money or material things.

Jarelle, who also teaches drums to kids, has filed a report with police and believes he will see his drum set - which has his initials JJ on it - again.

Jarelle’s Dodge Durango and his drum set are things he needs for his job to provide for his family, if you’ve seen any of them you’re urged to call police right away.
