He’s running for Judge and on Tuesday he’s set to be in front of a Federal Judge, charged with using a phone in drug trafficking.

Paul Zyburski is running for District Judge in Roseville and Fraser. His brother is telling 7 Investigator Jim Kiertzner these charges could just be a political smear tactic.

But according to federal court documents, the evidence comes from the candidate himself.  Several months of wire taps on the phone of Antonio Lewis of St. Clair Shores show Zyburski called and texted Lewis to buy cocaine.

Tom Zyburski told Kiertzner about his brother Paul, “He’s lived a flamboyant lifestyle. He’s helped a lot of people here. And I think it’s an attempt to knock him out of the race. I really do.”

In one text exchange spelled out in court documents, Zyburski texted with Lewis:

YO, ONI, I’M GETTING READY TO GO TO COLUMBIA, CAN YOU GET ME IN THE MOOD.

K

HOW MANY?

2

K

That allegedly means 2 packs of cocaine.

Kiertzner asked Tom Zyburski about that he said that can be misconstrued.

This is a felony charge that can cost his brother Paul not just the race for Judge but also his law license.
