A $25 million lawsuit has been filed against two doctors and a surgery center in Westland for allegedly performing fake surgeries.

Noel Dorsey tells 7 action news she was betrayed by the same doctors she trusted with her health.

She and her attorney filed a $25 million dollar lawsuit alleging that in February of 2012 she was severely mistreated by two staff physicians at the Surgical Institute of Michigan in Westland.

The suit against both doctors and the institute suggests prior concerns about one of the doctor's ethics were ignored.

Attorney Albert j. Dib tells us Dorsey had bogus back surgery done by Dr. Aria Sabit and co-surgeon Dr. Jiab Hasan Suleiman.

Further allegations are that Blue Cross Blue Shield was billed for surgery that was never done.

Dr. Sabit is currently behind bars for health care fraud and related charges.

Dorsey says it took years and an MRI to figure out surgery was not performed.

We reached out to the medical clinic for comment, but so far haven't heard back.
