Clay Township police say they broke into a home and found a woman tied up after an apparent home invasion.
According to police, it happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 9300 block of Nook Rd., which is just northwest of Algonac.
Police say they received a call for a welfare check, and when they arrived, they found the woman on the floor tied up.
According to police, the woman was also assaulted during the home invasion. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to call police as the investigation is ongoing.
