We’re learning more information about the woman at the center of a string of robberies across metro Detroit taking place over just a matter of hours.

It quite literally was like something out of a movie - a serial bank robber hitting five banks back to back - a series of bank heists maybe seen back in the day, but unusual for the modern era.

The woman police say is behind the serial bank robberies is Dajanae Jordan.

Police released pictures of the serial robber, each time going into the bank with her face covered and giving the teller a note demanding cash.

The second bank police say Dajanae attempted to rob was the Vibe Credit Union in Sterling Heights on Van Dyke.

Police say she handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller said she didn’t have money in the drawers. Police Dajanae then left.

The first four robberies happened within 24 hours.

The first on the 28000 block of Dequindre at the Chase Bank in Warren on October 17, 5:54 pm.

The second on the 33000 block of Van Dyke in Sterling Heights at the vibe credit union on October 18 at 10:40 am.

Then not even two hours later at 12:04 pm, a Comerica Bank on the 16000 block of 26 Mile in Macomb.

The fourth robbery at 2:08 pm also on October 18.  A Flagstar Bank on the 2000 block of West Big Beaver in Troy.

The fifth and final robbery happened on October 25 at 6:23 pm on the 29000 block of Campbell at the Chase Bank inside the Hollywood Market in Madison Heights.

Officers say Dajanae again handed a note to the teller demanding cash; the teller gave her a little more than $2,500. Police say Dajanae took the money then fled the scene.

After investigating and reviewing security video, police were able to identify the vehicle seen during the robberies and tracked it down to an apartment in Sterling Heights where Dajanae lived.

Officers then took her into custody.

Police say Dajanae managed to get away with a few thousand dollars from all those robberies.
