(WXYZ) - The Royal Oak Police Department says they discovered a body after battling a condominium fire on Friday afternoon.
The condos are located on the 3200 block of Coolidge.
Sources tell us the man was a heavy smoker. His name has not been released. He is only identified as a 79-year-old man.
His death has been ruled an accident. An autopsy has determined that he died of smoke and soot inhalation.
The incident is currently under investigation.
