ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) — When someone comes to the door of Nadia Ahmad and Nickole Moore’s house in Royal Oak it is recorded. They bought a Ring Doorbell just before the holidays because they often shop at Amazon.

“I got it just to protect my packages and protect my property,” said Nadia Ahmed.

When their garbage can was damaged and knocked down the street, they wondered if the camera recorded what happened.

“When I checked the Ring App, I was flabbergasted,” said Ahmed.

They showed us the video.

“She gets in her vehicle. It seems like there is enough room for her to see,” said Nickole Moore describing the actions of what appears to be an Amazon delivery person. “She hits it, keeps going.”

They called Amazon to let them know, ironically, the camera they bought to protect their Amazon packages caught an Amazon driver knocking their trash down the block. They spoke to WXYZ saying they hope by speaking out Amazon is moved to pay for the damage to their trash can.

"This does not reflect the standards we have for delivery service partners. We are working with the customer directly to make things right and will address this with our delivery service partner,” said Amazon in a statement.
