TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Secret Service is being called in to investigate after two counterfeit $10 bills were found at a Troy Burger King.
The fake bills were received within minutes of each other by two separate employees. One of them was working at the drive-thru window. The other was working a the front counter.
Police say one of the employees realized the bill was phony when she provided changes to another customer. This prompted the other employee to discover the second counterfeit bill.
Troy police responded to the scene and took possession of the bills. They have turned them over to the Secret Service for their investigation.
