A portion of eastbound I-696 is closed this weekend from the I-275/I-96/M-5 interchange and Telegraph Rd.
The closure went into effect at 9 p.m. Friday night and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
To get around the closure, MDOT says to take eastbound M-5 to eastbound 8 Mile, to northbound Telegraph and back to eastbound I-696.
