PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — Oakland County sheriff's deputies are still searching for the man who shot and killed 32-year-old Kaneisha Williams on Jan. 22 in Pontiac.

Williams, a Waterford mother of three, was seen by a neighbor in the area of North Eastway and East Pike running toward their home, reportedly away from a man, deputies said.

Then, the neighbor heard several gunshots. Williams, struck multiple times, was in such bad condition she was brought to the hospital in a deputy's patrol car.

The 32-year-old later died from her injuries.

Williams' older sister Jessica said their family is still in shock.

"This loss, it’s like it’s broken us," she said. "How do you tell your nieces that that they’ll never see their mother again, they’ll never hear her again.”

This loss comes just two months after the family lost Williams' uncle to a heart complication.

Her other uncle, Wil Black, said the family is overwhelmed with grief from losing yet another family member.

Just before her murder, Williams had plans to start a new life in Texas with her three daughters, ages 5, 12, and 14.

"She was always trying to better herself and create a better situation for her kids," Williams told 7 Action News.

The family has created a Go Fund Me page to help support Williams daughters. It’s already raised more than 6,000 dollars.

Black said the family believes they know who is responsible for Williams' murder.

“Just let God deal with that," he said.
