The Oakland County Health Department says a woman remains in the hospital, after becoming ill with bacterial meningitis.

The health department has notified 219 kids and their families who attend a day camp at Life Time Fitness in Rochester Hills.

We don't know a whole lot about the person right now. The health department says the woman is a day camp employee from Macomb County.

They are working on a time frame of notifying people who had close contact with her from July 1st to July 11th.

The kids are ages 5-12. They are recommending all of these kids and staff go get assessed and go on antibiotics right away.

We're told it's only spread through saliva or nasal secretions.

Symptoms can appear anytime up to July 21st.
