Oakland University police locate student who was banned from campus, may have access to weapons

ROCHESTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — UPDATE: Police say the OU student was just located by Bloomfield Township Police at a gym in the area without incident.

The Oakland University Police Department is asking for help finding a missing former student who was last seen on the school's East Campus on Saturday, despite being banned from campus.

Officials say Alexander Walker may be suffering from mental health issues and may be a threat to himself or others. According to OUPD, Walker's family says he may have access to weapons.

Walker is 25-years-old. He is 5'11" tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He is known to wear a grey suit and tie, as well as sunglasses at all hours of the day. He is also known to carry a backpack.

Walker is currently homeless and does not have access to a vehicle. He is subject to arrest for trespassing if he is found on OU's campus.

Anyone encountering Walker is advised not to approach him. They should call the OUPD at 248-370-3331 immediately.
