Car lovers can't wait for the Woodward Dream Cruise, but some businesses close up shop during the Woodward Dream Cruise, or surprisingly some business can be slow.

For restaurants, this is their time to shine along side some classic cars. Take a trip down memory lane and watch classic cars in a classic diner joint!

We're talking about Hunter House Hamburgers in Birmingham!

The restaurant has been open since 1952, fitting for a place to celebrate old cars.

Brendan Keyes is the manager of Hunter House Hamburgers.

"People kind of look at us as a staple for the dream cruise, I guess you can say," he said.

The restaurant celebrates the Dream Cruise with events starting Tuesday.

"It brings in a lot of business," he said. "We are pretty busy from start to finish."

They turn there parking lot into a party spot with tents, a trailer and RV serving food and lots of concerts.

"We have a Beatles cover band. They come Friday and Saturday. Maybe Thursday too and then we have an Elvis impersonator who walks around. And we have a coupe of new bands this year."

And if you travel down south on Woodward Avenue, you will find a restaurant dedicated to cars, Vinsetta Garage in Berkley.

"We love it because it's just a celebration of car culture on Woodward and obviously this place is born to do that," said restaurant owner Curt Catallo. "Kind of like, a bit of a reunion when we see some of the sheet metal coming back to the garage."

The Dream Cruise brings in lots of new faces to the restaurant.

"We know what it's going to be like," he said.  "It's fun, everybody comes because they love the hardware. So for us, it's kid of of an easy weekend for business, but it is a fun one for culture, so we dig it."

The ex-garage serves up great food with a great view of the dream cruise!

"You will have the doors open and people who come by will goose their throttle and you hear that echo of a Hemi V8 through the rafters and there is nothing cooler than that. We love it."

Although folks will be coming out all week to enjoy the Dream cruise the event is officially on Saturday.

It would be a good idea to call a business along Woodward Avenue to make they are open during the Dream Cruise or to see if they are hosting a special event.
