7 Action News has obtained the police reports and pictures from the night Detroit Police Officers Association President Mark Diaz is accused of driving recklessly in the parking lot of Holly Academy in Holly.

The school facilities director told police he believed the driver of the pickup truck damaged the drainage culvert and fence posts.

The estimated cost to fix it is $4,200.

According to the police reports, Diaz said he'd made an "immature and juvenile decision" to drive into that
area on December 20th.

He said he'd seen several people in the past "doing doughnuts" in the lot or driving through
snow banks so he decided to "have a little fun".

He said he meant no harm to the school.

Mark Diaz was charged with malicious destruction of a building and reckless driving. DPD did suspend him with pay, pending the outcome of the case.

Diaz's attorney told 7 Action News that they're in the middle of trying to settle the case and that from the start, Diaz said he would pay for the damage.
