Two men have been arrested in connection to the assault and robbery of a disabled man over the weekend.

According to police, Nikey Dashone Walker and Shadeed Dontae Bey, both 20 and from Pontiac, are charged with home invasion, unarmed robbery and aggravated assault.

Police say the two men robbed a 23-year-old man with cerebral palsy inside his apartment. He followed the suspects, but was then beaten inside of a stairwell in the complex.

While investigating, detectives found the suspects filmed the assault using the victim's cell phone and then posted it on the victim's Facebook page as well as their own personal pages.

“Preying on those in our community who suffer from disabilities will not be tolerated and furthermore, to have the audacity to post their actions on the victim’s page is beyond belief,” said Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard. “I am proud of the Deputies at the Pontiac Substation and the excellent investigative work that was completed in order to bring these two cowards to justice.”

Both were arraigned in court on Tuesday and are being held on a $25,000 bond.
