The 5-1 diner in Oxford has become a popular spot with the locals. It sits in a great location and has a reputation for tasty food.

But one lady claims her deal to run the place went sour.

Wednesday afternoon, protestors paraded in front of the quaint diner. They were there to show support for Nicole Ellsworth, who claims the business was stolen from her.

Ellsworth says she had a verbal agreement with the person who has a lease for the space to run the diner with the goal of purchasing it.

Ellsworth claims to have poured thousands of dollars into the business, paying past due bills and making needed repairs.

She was surprised when Saturday night she found the doors locked. When she returned on Monday, someone had posted a closed for remodeling sign and another business was setting up shop.

7 Action News reached out to the property's lease holder for comment, but we have not heard back. An anonymous caller did say the allegations are false.

Ellsworth has hired an attorney and is planning legal action.
