The Brides Project is starting it's second annual "60 in 60" campaign today.

The special bridal boutique in Ann Arbor is hoping to receive donations of 60 "recent" wedding dresses in the next 60 days.

The Brides Project is full of donated gowns, sold at a deeply discounted prices. All of the proceeds go to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor.

The beautiful gowns are donated from salons and designers, but most of them come from brides.

Monique Sluymers, the director of The Brides Project, says it can't do what it does without donations.

"I'm hoping to get a dress a day, but quite honestly, I'm hoping for more because I can sell a lot more than 60," says Sluymers.

Lauren Reid recently bought a dress from The Brides Project and says, "I wanted to, in the process of spending money on a wedding, I wanted it to go to something good."

Bonnie Dockham is the executive director of The Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. It provides free psychological and social support to those affected by cancer.

"People talk about us being the rainbow in their story," says Dockham.

Even if you are getting married in June or July, during the "60 in 60" campaign, you can still pledge to donate your dress.

The Brides Project is located at 1677 Plymouth Road in Ann Arbor. For more details, you can go to its website at http://www.thebridesproject.org/.
