Right now people in numerous Washtenaw County neighborhoods are waiting for answers about police raids that happened on Tuesday.

Sources tell 7 Action News they are all connected to tips that came into the Pittsfield Township Police Department connected to a murder.

One of the raids happened inside a packed dormitory on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Students saw police execute the raid as they went to class or looked out their dormitory windows.

We have learned Pittsfield Township Police arrested a freshman in the dorm who is believed to be connected to a homicide.

Eastern Michigan University sent out an e-mail to let students know what happened. It says the Washtenaw Metro SWAT team and Pittsfield Township Police executed the search warrant in Walton Hall.

It is connected to a homicide investigation from April.

We know Pittsfield Township police investigated a murder at the Glencoe Hill Apartments on Saturday, April 28th.

Police said someone robbed and shot 19-year-old Christopher Marsh Jr. multiple times in the parking lot after he met them to make a drug deal.

They described the suspects as two males between the ages of 19 and 25.

Police do not understand how the person arrested at EMU is allegedly connected to this homicide, but we do know he is a freshman student.

Police tell 7 Action News there about half a dozen raids around the county that were connected to this one.
