Border Patrol Agt. from Flat Rock killed along Arizona-Mexico border

RIO RICO, Ariz. (WXYZ) - Four people are in custody in connection with with the fatal shooting of a U. S. Border Patrol agent from Flat Rock who was shot and killed Tuesday along the Arizona-Mexico border.

A statement by the Border Patrol said "Agent Brian A. Terry was shot and killed after he encountered several suspects near Rio Rico, Arizona. Agent Terry's murder is a tragic reminder of the ever-present dangers U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, Air & Marine and Border Patrol agents face as they protect our nation's borders."

The circumstances behind the shooting have not yet been released. Police say at least one suspect is still at large.

Terry is originally from Flat Rock. His family still lives in the area.

Visitation for Terry is Monday, December 20, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday December 21, 2010, from Noon to 9:00 p.m. It's being held at the John Molnar Funeral Home in Brownstown Twp.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Greater Grace Temple Church. in Detroit.
