A cancer survivor and military veteran got the keys to her new Habitat for Humanity home on July 6.

Monica Munir says she was diagnosed with stage four Lymphoma and completed six rounds of out-patient chemo therapy and her tumors were gone.

The cancer came back 6 months later. She went through with two more rounds of in-patient chemo and a stem cell transplant. That was in 2013. She has been cancer free ever since.

And now, Monica Munir has gotten enough volunteers to help build her home and will be moving in soon with a new puppy, Samantha.
