Students living at a complex near the University of Michigan Dearborn say they are dealing with no heat.
DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - It was a cold overnight for hundreds of students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn inside a new student housing complex.
It happened at the Union, a big 4 floor complex that is home to hundreds of students.
A water main broke last night. The building is a hot water heat system. Frost built up on windows.
Students were wearing warm clothes and finding any way to keep warm. And it has not been easy.
We are told the water main has been fixed. Water is back on, but it is brown. The heat is also coming back on.
These apartments are not part of the university. They are close to the Dearborn campus, but also students pay $600 a month each and share rooms.
They say that's a high price to go through this, and no answers about the heat or the safety of the water. That's why they called us.
