With Fall right around the corner, many local farms are kicking off their corn maze and pumpkin patch season.

DeBuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Belleville will open Saturday.

Owner Scott DeBuck said, "I love the Fall! Corn maze season is my favorite."

There will be plenty of things to see and do.

"They are going to have slides they can go down. They are going to have three corn mazes they can go in. We have a bounce house. We got a human-size foosball court. We have racing peddle carts, racing peddle trikes, you can take wagon rides to the pumpkin patch."

They offer three levels of corn mazes: easy, intermediate and hard.

Each one has a game or treasure hunt.

"They can go in and out, maybe take a bathroom break, go get some cider and donuts, go down the slide then come back in and go do another one," said Scott.

There's help if you get lost. The corn is so dense you can't see through it. The maze sits on 13 acres.

"It takes about six to eight months to prep for it."

DeBuck's has been doing corn mazes for eight years. They've been a sod farm for forty years. This year, the area experienced dry conditions.

"We pulled some of our sod farm equipment for irrigation over and we started irrigating our corn."

This year's theme is Finding Dory.

Scott said, "My nieces and my nephews and my children help me design."

They give you a map but it's still pretty confusing.

"I get lost. Everyone gets lost," Scott added. "And if you get really lost, you can make all lefts find your way out.n If it was easy, nobody would do it."

It opens on weekends starting Sept. 17 to October 30.
