A man is facing possible charges after taking his gun through security at Metro Airport.
Airport officials say the gun was discovered about 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
The man was detained at a security checkpoint when the weapon was discovered in his carry on bag. Officials say he told security he forgot the gun was in the bag.
The man, who does have a valid CPL permit, was taken into custody, but later released pending charges.
His name has not been released.
