It’s grass season and inspectors are warning homeowners about high grass.

The city of Dearborn says anything over six inches is not acceptable.

"I always tell them put yourself in your neighbor shoes. would you want to walk outside and see this every day? your neighbors deserve better than that," says Jordan Roberts with the city.

Inspectors in Dearborn go out every day looking for violators.

The first time is a warning and homeowners are given a few days to cut the grass, after that a work order is placed and the homeowner is billed for someone coming out to cut the grass.

Roberts says the city will work with you if you contact them. If you do receive a bill you are entitled to due process.
