An 18-month-old girl is fighting for her life after survining a raging fire in Van Buren Township.

Covered in bandages and hooked to a ventilator, A’Mariana Wells has shown little improvement, according her grandmother Sherry Wells.

The toddler was inside a home with other children when the fire broke out.

Her brave 14-year-old uncle, Savion Robinson, was able to rescue his younger sister and get A’Mariana, known as Mari, to the entranceway just in time to be rescued by a firefighter.

Savion tragically died in the fire.

Mari has suffered burns to more than 50 percent of her body and has a long road to recovery.

According to Sherry, her mother has not left the toddler’s side. Her parents and other family members are praying for a full recovery.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family pay bills and rent while Mari is at University of Michigan CS Mott Children’s Hospital.

Mari’s mother plans to stay at the hospital with the toddler.

“She is going to be here, so she is not going to be able to work,” said Sherry. "She has no income.”
