Taylor police have arrested two people in connection to the suspected murder of a man who went missing last week.
According to police, 38-year-old Michael Lee Strafford, from River Rouge, had been missing since May 7. His motorcycle was last seen at a home on Brian St. in Taylor.
Police say a 41-year-old man turned himself in to the department on Saturday. They determined that Strafford had been shot inside the home on Brian St. and then his body disposed of in Ypsilanti.
Working with Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies, Taylor police recovered a man's body in a field in Ypsilanti. It is believed to be Strafford, but police are awaiting positive identification.
Police also arrested a 36-year-old Taylor man, who is the brother of the first suspect, on suspicion of shooting Strafford. Both men remain in custody and their family members are cooperating with police.
