Two people died in a house fire Wednesday in Taylor, near Ecorse and Telegraph roads.
The Taylor Police Department is investigating the fatal fire on the 6800 Buck Street, after neighbors reported hearing an explosion.
Neighbor Debbie Miller said she looked out the window and saw the home on fire. Miller said firefighters pulled one lady out of the home and started doing CPR on the lawn.
"They brought the older lady out, the mom. I ran in the house and started crying. It was just the worst sight I've ever seen. It was bad," said Miller.
Neighbors said an elderly mother and daughter lived in the home, and they were not in good health.
Fire investigators said they don't have any evidence that the fire started as an explosion. Also, they believe the fire started in the living room, but they're not sure what may have sparked it.
