WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Westland man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found near Hines Park.
The body of 23-year-old Olivia Rossi was discovered on Aug. 23 near Ann Arbor Trail and Middlebelt.
Prosecutors say that on Aug. 18, Anthony Kesteloot, 25, contacted Rossi, came to her house and picked her up in his truck. They reportedly went back to his house, located in the 29150 block of Manchester in Westland. Rossi allegedly died at Kesteloot's home, prosecutors say, and he allegedly took her lifeless body and disposed of it in a creek at Hines Park.
According to Rossi's family, she texted her twin sister Raquel to let her know she was with a friend they knew from school and believed she was in danger. The message said the guy she was with was "acting weird" Raquel texted back to ask Olivia if she had a knife and she said yes.
Her body was later recovered by Westland police officers in Hines Park.
Kesteloot has been charged with Disinterment of a Dead Body, Obstruction of Justice, Removing a Dead Body, Failure to Report a Dead Body and Tampering with Evidence in a Criminal Case.
