Restaurant donating day's profits to injured Detroit firefighter

CHELSEA, Mich. (WXYZ) — The community is invited to come together to help an injured Detroit firefighter and his family.

Mark Taylor suffered serious injuries earlier this month when a roof collapsed as a fought a fire at a vacant home in southwest Detroit.

Investigators say the fire was intentionally set.

Taylor is from Chelsea, and on Thursday, Smokehouse 52 BBQ is set to help his family.

From 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., the restaurant will be donating 100 percent of Thursday's profits to Taylor's family. Donations will also be accepted.
