WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) — It is Wednesday, so it’s Restaurant Report Card time! And, for the first one of the New Year, we are in Westland, where 7 Action News Reporter Andrea Isom takes us to 3 spots!

So, let’s see which ones ended up on top.

What’s not to love about Westland!? It’s an all-American city. All about the red. The white. And the blue. And the food too!

First order up is at Westland Fish and Chicken, where the health inspector noted 7 violations on the last inspection. All issues have now been remedied!

Westland Fish and Chicken has been under new management for about 4 months now. The owner told me so, on the phone.

Next, at the Westland Shopping Plaza we spot Korca’s Café.

The health inspector found 7 priority violations, like:

  • smoking in non-designated areas
  • chopping onions and tomatoes with bare hands
  • bags of raw beef stored over bread, soup and rice
  • The good news? All of those issues have been resolved.

Third stop! Capt’n Nemos sure is running a tight ship because the crew got an A on the Restaurant report Card.

Of course, Capt’n Nemos is known for subs, and Nemos is also known for its niceness too and being honored and humbled for being recognized for their hard work. It’s on the menu too!

We would like to congratulate Captain Nemos, Los Mariachis and Mr. Corned Beef for getting perfect scores on its last health inspections. Zero violations!
