SOUTHGATE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A brand new, 2021 trailer for band members at a Southgate high school was stolen early Wednesday morning. Now band boosters are offering a reward for information leading to the return of the trailer.

The trailer, which belongs to Anderson High School band members, was stolen around 3 a.m. from the district's bus lot on Burns and Northline. Unfortunately, there were no cameras in that area.

Both the lock on the gate and trailer were cut, according to a Facebook post.

The 8.5 by 20 foot-trailer is black and has a door on the side. and a large door on the back.

Band booster members are now offering a $200 reward for the return of the trailer, and a $100 reward for the return of the tarps.

If you have information on this incident, contact Martha Hancock at 313-346-2438. In the meantime, a GoFundMe account has been made to help the band raise funds for a new trailer.
