NORWAY, Mich. (WXYZ) — A road in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is going to be closed for about a week after beavers built a dam which plugged up a culvert along the road.

According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Cassidy Creek Rd., located about 5 miles northeast of Norway in Dickson County, will be closed until the middle of next week.

The DNR said the beavers plugged up a culvert on the road which damaged it. There are no re-routes available around the area, the DNR said.
