The Road Commission for Oakland County will close Adams Road for road resurfacing.
Beginning August 8, Adams Road to southbound traffic between South Boulevard and Square Lake on the Troy/Bloomfield Township border will close.
While the road will remain closed to southbound traffic, northbound Adams Road traffic will be open during construction.
Detour route: South Boulevard to Squirrel Road to Square Lake Road and back to Adams Road.
The $2.1 million project includes:
- Milling and resurfacing
- Shoulder widening
- Drainage improvements
- Sidewalks compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act along with pedestrial signals
The project is expected to be completed in late October.
