The search for illegal scrappers led to the discovery of a small dog shivering in a trash pile.
7 Action News Reporter Ronnie Dahl and her videographer came across the tiny pooch in a vacant commercial building on Gratiot Avenue.
The building was wide open and had been stripped by metal thieves. While looking for possible illegal scrappers, the crew came across a small dog hiding in the corner.
7 Action News reached out to Mike Diesel with Detroit Youth & Dog Rescue. He arrived with food to help lure the dog.
