A police situation at a park in Farmington is now over, according to Farmington Public Safety officers.
Police say they received a report of a suicidal man armed with a rifle at Shiawassee Park around 8 a.m.
After they arrived, officers were reportedly able to negotiate with the 18-year-old West Bloomfield resident and got him to put the gun down. The teen was later transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
As a precaution, Farmington High School was on lockdown during the situation.
