Police say the second suspect involved in the shootout at Family Dollar on Detroit's west side has been taken into custody.
Another suspect was killed and a 27-year-old security guard is in critical condition from the attempted robbery and subsequent shootout that occurred around 7:45 p.m. Monday.
Police say the 22-year-old taken into custody went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the body. The suspect had fled the scene Monday night in a burgundy Nissan Sentra.
"This is a huge tragedy," said Tiffany Stewart, commander of Detroit's 6th Precinct, on Monday night. "We are still investigating and still trying to figure out precisely what happened – who shot first and things of that nature."
