Workers hung a giant American Flag from the Mackinac Bridge on Monday morning to celebrate Memorial Day.

The flag was up for a few hours, but had to be taken down around 11 a.m. due to high winds, a worker told MLive.

Despite being taken down, the flag made the rounds on social media with praise from many people.
