Are you tired of dark mornings on your way to work or school?

If so, you'll be glad to hear Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, November 5th. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before heading to bed Saturday night. The tradition of "falling back" means you get back the hour of sleep you lost when daylight saving time started in March.

VOTE: Do you think we should end Daylight Saving Time?

The switch pushes sunrise and sunset back an hour, so there's more light in the morning on your way out the door, but darkness comes sooner in the afternoon.

Most computers and cell phones now change automatically, but you will still need to fix your watch, microwave and older cars. This is also a good time to check the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Daylight Saving Time has been practiced on and off in the U.S. since 1918. current schedule, set through the Energy Policy Act of 2005, puts Daylight Saving Time starting the second Sunday in March and ending the first Sunday in November.

The change back to daylight saving time is Sunday, March 11, 2018, which is about a week before spring arrives.

Daylight saving time is observed in about 70 countries worldwide. Those regions that don't observe the time change include U.S. territories such as American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Both Hawaii and Arizona are included in the list, as well.
