Several thefts were attempted at Somerset Collection between June 27 and June 30, according to Troy police.

On June 27, a 28-year-old Troy woman attempted to steal $200 worth of merchandise from Sephora before being stopped by Loss Prevention.

She was arrested by the responding officers and charged with Retail Fraud, second degree.

On June 28, Loss Prevention Officers observed two women enter Neiman Marcus. Police say the women were recognized as having committed prior thefts of merchandise from the store.

Police say they were seen working together in an attempt to steal $1,020 worth of merchandise before being stopped by Loss Prevention as they were leaving. Both of them gave officers false information regarding their names.

Officers were able to determine the suspects to be a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old, both from Pontiac. They were arrested and charged with first-degree Retail Fraud and Hinder and Obstruction of a Police Officer.

It was also determined that the 19-year-old had driven her car to the parking structure with a suspended license, so she was also charged with Driving While License Suspended.

Police say officers located merchandise inside the car that appeared to be previously stolen from the store, with price tags and anti-security sensors still attached.

On June 30, police say a 52-year-old woman from Southfield attempted to steal $328.56 worth of merchandise from Macy's before being stopped by Loss Prevention. She was arrested by the responding officers and charged with first-degree retail fraud.
