SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ-TV) — It's now been more than five weeks since Adrienne Quintal was reported missing.

The Southfield woman was last at a cabin up north in mid-October according to Michigan State Police.

“I would anything to find my sister. I just desperately want to know that she’s okay," said Quintal's oldest sister, Jenny Bryson.

Bryson can't piece together why Quintal would just up and leave; she doesn't think she did.

“My gut says someone took her. But I don’t have any evidence and everything has been very confusing right from the beginning," she told Action News.

MSP and the Benzie County Sheriff's Office are investigating. They said Quintal was involved in a shootout with two men at the cabin up north. Investigators said Quintal called a family friend for help, telling them she'd shot one of the men in the face, and asked them to call police.

“Nothing makes sense," Bryon told Action News.

Police searched the area around the cabin extensively. They found several bullet holes from the cabin toward the outside, but found no blood. Bryson said Quintal's boots and her cell phone were found on the cabin's roof.

Quintal's purse was also left behind.

“I don’t see her running away or voluntarily leaving. Not like this.”

Bryson was texting with her sister before she was reported missing.

“The week before she disappeared, she adopted a dog from the Benzie County Animal Shelter, and she sent me a picture of the dog. So she was happy by all accounts," said Bryson.

And Quintal's condo in Southfield was just as she left it according to Bryson.

“She was expected to return home. Her clothes were all there. Her furniture is there. There was food in her refrigerator.”

Quintal's family is now offering $100,000 between now and Nov. 30 for any information about her whereabouts.
