The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday the death of a K-9.
K-9 Gunner was 9 years old and recently died of cancer. The Goldador worked 8 years as an accelerant detection K-9 with his partner Lieutenant Scott Braun.
Gunner and Lt. Braun investigated more than 300 fires throughout St. Clair County and other counties in the state.
The dog first came to the Sheriff's Office in 2010 thanks to a grant from State Farm Insurance Company.
