Detroit Zoo lighting things up for the holidays with 'Wild Lights' display

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Zoo is planning a light display for the upcoming holiday season.
The zoo in Royal Oak will use 2 million LED lights to illuminate buildings, animal sculptures and trees.
Called Wild Lights, it will be situated along a half-mile trail and feature holiday entertainment and activities for kids of all ages, including a mini-musical, a musical light show, cookie decorating, storytelling, ice carving demonstrations and a Lego city and train display.
Wild Lights will be held for 24 nights between Saturday and Jan. 5. Admission is $8 per person in advance and $10 at the gate for ages 2 and up. Parking is $5 per car.
